The image below is one I took several years back of my daughter. It was this series of photos that I took from her that made me dive into photography head first. At the time I had been desperate to get some beautifully captured photos of her. I had tried the traditional "Portrait" studios that everyone has tried at least once, and always left feeling irritated. I had hired a "Professional" photographer for my daughter's newborn pictures, which although I really did love the images that the photographer created, I was very upset with the customer service aspect of the experience. It was at that time that I decided I wanted to learn everything I could about photography in the hopes of avoiding drama and creating beautiful images for myself. The more I learned the more I knew I wanted to keep learning and keep creating. I would say that all my photographs have a LIFESTYLE aspect to them, even the High School Senior pictures and portraits that I take for my gorgeous High School Senior clients. Here is one of the first pictures I took after diving into photography.
I took that with my kit lens on my first DSLR camera a Nikon D60. I placed my two year old in my tulips and said "Honey, you want to smell the flowers?". :)
Today I use a Nikon D600 camera with a variety of lenses. The picture below is a more recent picture of my sweet girl taken in my grandparents backyard while watching her and her cousin play in the tree.
I truly love Portrait photography, and taking child portraits is always so much fun. As a photographer who knows the frustrating side of being a consumer/client, my goal is to provide each of my clients the very BEST customer service that you can get from a photographer, I want LOYAL returning customers, not just satisfied customers.
